24 Hour Cyclothon at ISU

News

Some local physical therapy students are bicycling for 24 hours all for a good cause.

The 24 Hour Cyclothon is a fundraiser taking place at Indiana State University.

The goal is to raise $2,500 for the Terre Haute Boys and Girls Club.

The students want to raise enough money to buy the club new gym equipment and help them pay for some upgrades to their building.

These students also volunteer at the Boys and Girls Club every Friday afternoon.

“We’re teaching them values on physical exercise, as you can see, that’s why we’re doing the bike,” says Nicole Hranchook, the Treasurer of the Student Physical Therapy Association. “We do health and fitness assessments with them. We teach them healthy foods to eat.”

Students started cycling at noon and will continue until noon on Friday.

You can donate in person, by sponsoring a rider or online at their You Caring page.
