KNOX Co., Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — There are two new confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Knox County as of Friday, bringing the total to 6.
According to Knox County Health Officer Dr. Alan Stewart, all patients are self-isolated at home and doing well.
He said health officials are working to contact those who may have had contact with the patients at least 48 hours before they began developing symptoms.
As of Thursday evening, Good Samaritan Hospital has submitted 88 COVID-19 tests.
Dr. Stewart is asking the Knox County community to stay home and to only be with those who live in your household. He also is asking the community to only send one person to the store for essentials.
“It’s really frightening and this is the time we really have to get together and really do the social isolation very diligently. Protect your family members and protect your friends,” he said.
