TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — 12 Points held its weekly creators market Thursday evening in front of Illumination Wellness on Lafayette Avenue. The event is similar to a farmers’ market and it’s meant to showcase local vendors in the area.
There were ten local businesses in attendance. The market made its debut just three weeks ago. Since then a few of the vendors have sold over $800 worth of items. Brenna Deal manager of the market said she hopes the event encourages the community to shop locally.
She said it seems there are a lot of people in the area who are starting their own businesses and she hopes the Creators Market will highlight their activities.
“I’m so happy to be here. I’m so happy to be supporting our community and local entrepreneurs. It’s just been really special and a really special event close to my heart,” Deal said.
Deal said if you are interested in participating as a business or vendor you can reach out to the 12 Points Creators Market Facebook page and fill out an application. She said any person or business within 100 miles is welcome to sign up.
The market takes place every Thursday until October 27.
