Tech Talk-Trump’s Wall

Technology Matters

A new parody app about Donald Trump is a huge hit.  It’s among the most downloaded apps in the iTunes store.
The objective of “Trump’s Wall” is to build a wall as high as you can.  But, it’s being built in front of a building that looks like the White House.
While you play, the presumptive Republican presidential nominee spouts classic “Trumpisms.”
If the wall your building topples, the app declares “you’re fired!”
    The app is free.
Instagram with a new look.  The app features a simpler all-white camera with a purple, pink and orange background.
How you use the app hasn’t changed.
Layout, Boomerang and Hyperlapse are getting new looks too.
NBC is hoping millennials and gen z-ers will dig the Olympics.
The network partnering with Buzzfeed to produce special Olympic features for Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, among others.
The hope is to get young people to watch the games on t-v and via livestream.
Speaking of video, check out “Amazon Video Direct.”  It looks like a YouTube format.  You can upload content and share with other customers, or sell it.
You can offer free videos to Prime members, free with ads to others.
There’s also “Video Direct Stars.”  You could get a share of one-million-dollars based on how well your videos perform.
(Natural sound: hammering on phone battery.  “Oh, there it goes.”)
Here’s a demo of what can happen if you drop your phone and the lithium battery is penetrated.
If you’re fumble prone, invest in a sturdy case.
    (Natural sound: hissing phone battery.)
