Southwest Parke schools to ‘operate on alternative schedule’

PARKE COUNTY, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)– Southwest Parke Community School Corporation issued a statement Friday announcing an alternative schedule for March 16 through April 3.

According to the statement, no students will attend school in any building beginning Monday through April 3.

Students will have e-learning lessons Tuesday through Thursday of next week, and will be able to access those lessons online. Students who do not have access to the internet will be provided packets for learning.

Students who are in need of food assistance will have access to food packets for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of next week.

During spring break, March 23 through 27, there will be no e-learning lessons;

March 30 through April 3 our schools will be closed.

There will be no athletic practices, no athletic contests, no concerts, or other school and community activities through April 3, and the buildings and grounds will be closed to students and the public.
