TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) – You have likely heard of Lyme Disease affecting people but not everyone is aware of how prevalent it is in dogs. Many dog owners are shocked when their pets test positive because the “deer ticks”  are so small that they’re almost impossible to see.  

One in 20 dogs tested positive for Lyme Disease last year and we’re only at the beginning of the season this year.   The Companion Animal Parasite Council predicts cases will continue to expand throughout the country and in Indiana in 2022 and they perceive it as a growing threat.
