She’s a super star in so many ways. Carrie Underwood… beautiful, talented and back on the scene in country music making a big return at CMA Fest this past summer.
“I was nervous, just because I had been away from big public events for awhile. This is one of the most fun weeks we have in country music and it really is all about the fans and I definitely felt very welcomed at the CMT Awards and hopefully tonight will be really good for that too. Feels good to be back on stage.”
Carrie was busy during her down time working on her new album, Storyteller.
“I have a lot more time to write, the whole pregnancy it’s like I can’t exactly be out on tour like I normally would be so I definitely filled my time working in other ways. I spent a lot more time writing and it’s interesting because there are some songs we’ve been listening to for over a year and you know if you still love them if you’ve heard them a million times you know you are on the right track and I feel like that where we are right now.”
She is in a place where she’s thankful for the new chapter she’s writing.
” It’s been 10 years, we had the greatest hits. I did get to take a little time from being on the road it’s like a new chapter in every aspect of my life. I don’t’ really know what to expect from the next 10 years as long as I get to keep doing what I get to do and do what I enjoy doing, I call that winning. I just want to keep being creative in some way shape or form.”
And when it comes to the fans, she knows country music does it right with the CMA Fest each year.
“Country music is the only genre that does anything like this it’s all about the fans and so exciting to be here.”
