TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV) — Masks will now be required at all extra-curricular events hosted by Vigo County School Corporation, interim district spokesperson Dr. Katelyn Moats Liebermann confirmed Sunday.
Events requiring masks will include all athletic and academic competitions as well as fine arts performances.
Liebermann said the new guidelines were enacted due to Vigo County being in the red advisory level on the Indiana Department of Health’s COVID-19 metrics map. Red is the highest advisory level issued by the state.
As of right now, no capacity limits are in place at school events.
