COVID-19 in Indiana: 4,689 new cases reported, one new death in Clay County


Indianapolis, Ind. (WTWO/WAWV)— On Sunday, the Indiana Department of Health reported 4,689 new COVID-19 cases among Hoosiers. This brings up the total number of cases to 210,374. This number is following corrections made to Saturday’s dashboard.

There are 36 new death reported. This is including one new death in Clay County. There is a total of 4,383 Hoosiers confirmed to have died from COVID-19. Another 246 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data are received by the state and occurred over multiple days.           

As if Sunday, 1,809,940 individuals have been tested in Indiana, up from 1,794,398 on Saturday. A total of 3,210,666 tests, including repeat tests for individuals, have been reported since Feb. 26.
