Taylor Johnson is a DMV (D.C., Maryland and Virginia) native and is excited to tell the stories that matter most to the Wabash Valley.
She began as a multimedia journalist with WTWO in June 2019.
Taylor first took an interest in journalism when she was a fourth grader. By middle school, she was in front of the camera doing the school’s morning announcements.
In high school, Taylor worked with her school’s newspaper for two years before going off to University of Maryland College Park to study broadcast (Go Terps!).
During her time in college, Taylor volunteered with the campus TV station UMTV, worked with ESPN U and held several internships with magazine publications.
After graduation in 2015, she worked as a digital communications associate with the Society for Neuroscience in Washington D.C.
In 2017, Taylor got her big break as a broadcast professional after accepting a position as digital content producer with WSET-TV in Lynchburg, Virginia. In her role there, she worked with the digital team to keep on top of the station’s social media and website.
In April 2019, she and the digital team brought home the Associated Press award for best website in the Virginias.
In her spare time, Taylor enjoys indulging in delicious food, watching the Bravo network, and being involved in church.
If you see Taylor around the Wabash Valley, say hello! You can also find her on Facebook and Twitter.
