Nicole Krasean is the assignment manager for WTWO as well as a special assignments reporter.
Nicole joined the WTWO team as a Multimedia Journalist in February 2018. She spent a year reporting news and sports before becoming the weekend anchor and eventually taking over the morning show anchor position in January 2020. She moved into her management position at the end of February 2022.
Nicole won an Indiana Broadcasters Association Spectrum Award for “General News Story” in 2019 and was a finalist for an IBA Spectrum Award in “Investigative Reporting” for a story from 2021 on the unsolved murder of Sullivan County man Lowell Badger.
Nicole has spent most of her life in Indiana, growing up in South Bend and attending Indiana University in Bloomington, where she received her Bachelor’s in Journalism. During her time at IU, she worked for the Indiana Daily Student before transitioning to the broadcast world as a sideline reporter for the Big Ten Network Student U and a host for a weekly WIUX sports show.
Following her graduation from IU in May 2017, she interned with the Indianapolis Colts in the team’s video production department before moving to Terre Haute. Nicole has made a home in the Wabash Valley as an active parishioner at St. Benedict Catholic Church and a member of League of Terre Haute, an organization that helps Vigo County schoolchildren.
When Nicole isn’t working, she enjoys reading, practicing yoga, hiking and traveling with her family and friends. She is an avid sports fan and roots for her alma mater Hoosiers, ISU football, the Pittsburgh Steelers and the Chicago Cubs.
