When you’re not feeling well, can’t get into the doctor’s office and your symptoms aren’t severe enough for the emergency room, there’s an alternative,
A new urgent care facility waits to serve your medical needs.
Horizon Health’s EZ Care walk-in clinic is now open in a brand new building along Route 1 South near Paris.
Carrie Cunningham, EZ Care Manager: “We opened mid June in our current building and have been busy ever since.”
EZ Care treats non-emergency conditions such as infections, the flu, pink eye, rashes, simple fractures and burns. Even some minor procedures can be performed.
Carrie Cunningham, “We do see walk-ins. No appointment needed. Basically, if something is bothering you, you come in and we can fix it.”
Tiffany Turner Chief Nursing Officer, “We have four exam rooms and usually we’re able to see on a regular basis, 30 to 35 patients a day
EZ Care began in 2011 as a weekend only clinic at another location, ut the community’s need was so great, it expanded its hours last year and then moved to a new building last month.
Erin Frank Horizon Health Spokesperson, “These urgent care facilities are also just helpful to our lifestyle. Anymore, we’re all just increasingly busy, increasingly involved.
The clinic is open 7 days a week, except for Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Besides being convenient, the EZ Care Clinic keeps emergency rooms from getting overloaded with non emergency issues and will save patients money, because an EZ care visit is much less expense than visiting the ER.
EZ Care is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
