Morning Weather: February 6, 2014
Snow has exited the Valley but much colder air has filled in behind it. Temperatures today will struggle to reach double digits with wind chills being a big difference maker with sub-zero wind chills returning. This morning wind chill values are well below zero to near -15º, so a Wind Chill Advisory is in effect through midday for counties north of I-70. Cloud cover stays in the mix today but will slower break up, providing partly cloudy sky this afternoon. Tonight continues clearing with even colder conditions as temperatures fall just below zero, and wind chills are back to -15º or so. Tomorrow we'll stay dry with sunshine in the mix, but temperatures only reaching the mid teens. Unseasonably cold temperatures remain this weekend with another shot of snow returning by Saturday. The good news is that this system looks weaker and quicker than last snow event, keeping snow amounts on the lower end of 1-2" for the Valley.
