The Council on Domestic Abuse was given over $17,000 from the 100 Women Who Care organization.

Local ladies throughout the community have come together to raise money for area groups.

CODA says the donation will go to helping re-place carpets and update their facilities.

They say the couldn't be happier with this act of kindness.

"It could not have been better timing for us with all the funding cut and the economy the way it is now this grant is really going to help us renovate the shelter that we have here in Terre Haute," said Gwen Tucker, executive director of CODA.
