Just this week the final part of a four piece mural was installed.

The paintings depict the history of Vigo County.

Each is mounted in the rotunda of the courthouse.

Local artist Bill Wolfe painted the murals.

Each stands five feet tall and stretches ten feet wide.

It took Wolfe three years to complete the project.

He says each painting has its own special meaning.

His hope is to remind people of the past.

"I hope that maybe a school will come in and look at the murals and look at what all these people have done with their lives and maybe it will click to them that they can do something with their life," Wolfe said.

Wolfe plans to host a reception to officially unveil the murals to the public later this spring.
