Valley Plumbers Busy Fixing Frozen Pipes

An extreme work load created by extremely cold weather.
"This is a frozen busted line right to the shower which we've already taken apart," Dan Brown, owner of BL Brown Plumbing said.

Its something Brown has repaired dozen of times the past few days.

"We've been swamped with frozen pipes, not getting home until 10:00 or 11:00 at night," Brown said.

An extreme work load created by extremely cold weather.

"This is what happens when the lines freeze and they start thawing out, they bust," Brown said.

Causing major problems for homeowners, like flooded basements and water-damaged walls and floors.

"The damage is just unbelievable," Brown said.

Sometimes it goes undetected.

"It's actually breaking right now but the ice is keeping the water from flowing. As soon as it thaws they will know it," Brown said.

A simple tip can keep you from ever knowing the damage busted pipes can cause.

"Just small space heaters open up your cabinets to your sinks, and make sure it's getting some heat in there," Brown said.
