Valley Kids Bring Christmas to TH Humane Society

Earlier this week  we introduced you to a Vigo County family who are bringing some holiday cheer to our four-legged friends.

Brent and Lea Tryon decided they wanted bring Christmas to the animals at the Terre Haute Humane Society.

So their mom helped them start the Kids for Paws donation drive.

And on Saturday they played Santa and delivered all of the presents.

In all the kids raised around $600 and collected 10 barrels of items, but say they couldn't have done it without the help of the community.

"We are just so happy to see them donate for the Terre Haute humane shelter," said Brent.

Lea added: "It was really exciting that  they donated for us."

"It's awesome that we have kids in this community that are so mature and thoughtful and selfless that they would choose to do this for Christmas," said Maggie Wheeler of the Terre Haute Humane Society.

Both Brent and Lea say they want to hold the fundraiser every year.

Officials say while these donations go a long way, they are always in need of volunteers.
