Time to "Fall Back" Saturday

Daylight Saving Time officially ends at 2 a.m. Sunday
Daylight Saving Time officially ends at 2 a.m. Sunday and we return to "standard" time.

Before heading to bed Saturday night be sure to turn your clocks back one hour.

The time change is also a good time to change the batteries on the smoke and carbon monoxide detectors in your home.

It's advised that you use batteries recommended by the manufacturer.

Also make sure they are firmly connected to the contacts.

Fire officials says it's important to check these devices regularly.

"Fire alarms save lives. We see that on fire trucks, we say it and it's absolutely true. If you do not have a working smoke alarm in your house then there's a chance that if you have a fire you may not get out of your house alive," Jeff Fisher, Terre Haute Fire Chief said.
