Thanksgiving Feasts

Wally King started serving others on Thanksgiving 16 years ago. Now, Joe's Pizza has taken it over and they expect over 700 people for Thursday's meal.

Wally King started preparing Thanksgiving meals for others in 1997. He fed just 30 people that year.

Wally passed away in 2002 and Joe's Pizza has taken over the tradition since then.

They have already started preparing 36 turkeys, stuffing and all the Thanksgiving fixings.

They're expecting over 700 people to join them for their Thanksgiving feast. The meal is completely funded through donations.

Nora Leone is an owner at Joe's Pizza and says she can't imagine spending her Thanksgiving anywhere else.

"It's great to give back to the community and put smiles on people's faces and I know a lot of the people that we do feed wouldn't have a Thanksgiving dinner and every year they call back and thank me and say you know if it wasn't for us and this dinner we do they wouldn't have a Thanksgiving dinner."

If you would like to join Joe's Pizza for Thanksgiving you can call them at 268-1144 or stop in. The meal is from 10:30 A.M. to 1:30 P.M.
