The Terre Haute Police Department is the winner of a major grant.
Today, U.S. Attorney Joe Hogsett presented the department with the $15,000 award.
The money came from the Edward Bryne Memorial Justice Grant Program.
The funds will be used to better equip officers here in Terre Haute.
"Terre haute police department is going to use it to buy eight tasers with holsters and cameras and 20 cartridges," Marc Eldred with the Terre Haute Police Department said.
The department will share part of the money with the Vigo County Durg Court.
