Terre Haute Park Renovation Complete

The Fort Harrison Room at Deming Park now has a fresh look. It was renovated by Lowe's employees during their days off in conjunction with the Lowe's Hero's Program.
A Terre Haute city park has a fresh look.

The Fort Harrison Room at Deming park was more than 30 years old. The Lowes Hero's Program helped remodel the room by bringing in new floors, fresh paint and all new appliances.

It's used by more than 5,000 people each year.

Parks director, Bruce Roselli, is excited to see how the community will react to the update.

"Looking forward to groups coming in here and saying, 'Wow, what did they just do?'" said Roselli. "I'm big on showing what our sponsors do for our parks and putting their brand up there so people will know that Lowes did this but I think more people will hear about it and want to come in here and rent the room off."

Lowes employees volunteered their time for the project during their days off.
