Terre Haute City Council Elects New President

Terre Haute City Council elected Amy Auler as the president for 2014 on Thursday night. Auler previously served on the council as vice president. John Mullican was elected vice president.
There's a new leader in the Terre Haute City Council.

Amy Auler was elected as president. She previously served as vice president of the council.

John Mullican was elected for this year's vice president.

Norm Loudermilk was the previous president of the city council.

Auler says she looks forward to the next year in a leadership role with the city.

"Just working with the current administration with the budget and keeping with our liaisons, keeping with the department heads and keep moving ahead in 2014," said Auler.

The city council meets in the city court room at 6 p.m. on the first and second Thursday of each month.
