Tech Talk-Navigate with Tech

Holiday apps
There are many ways to get to your holiday destination.  There are a variety of apps promising to help you do it with ease.
Those hitting the road can find their way with Google Maps.
It's one of the more popular navigation apps on the market, and it gets high marks for accuracy.
To avoid bumps in the road, 'Waze' delivers user-generated alerts on heavy traffic, accidents, and speed traps, in real time.
        For those taking flight --
Check with your airline.  Many have apps that allow users to check in, track their flights, and monitor checked baggage.
When it comes to packing, check out the 'My TSA' app.  It will let you know what to take and what you must leave behind when crossing airport security.
'Packing Pro' offers ready-made lists of essential items to pack, based on the type and length of your trip.
A long airport layover may not be on your travel radar, but bad weather might be.  The 'Ifly Pro' helps flyers navigate hundreds of airports, with information on shops, lounges, wi-fi and family-friendly options.
While traveling, planning ahead is key.  Make sure you have a way to juice up your devices, and a back up plan in case technology fails.
