New Entrance Completed at Sullivan High School

Grant paid for new way for visitors to enter building and new security cameras throughout the school

As we first reported late last year, the front entrance of Sullivan High School was to be changed to increase safety.

The project is now complete.

Visitors must now go through a security area before going to any part of the building.

In the past those coming into the school would be several feet from the office.

Principal David Springer says, "Before we would buzz them in from our old office and they'd come in and we couldn't see where they went. They could have gone left, right, up the stairs and, that's obviously not acceptable in this day and age."

The new entrance was paid for by a school security grant. That money is also being used to install new security cameras in the school building.
