Ritz Speaks to Terre Haute Rotary Club

Indiana's Superintendent of Education Glenda Ritz made a visit to the Valley on Tuesday. She spoke in front of a packed house at the Terre Haute Rotary Club's meeting. On top of her agenda? Talking to the community leaders about getting involved in early education -- especially encouraging reading outside of the classroom.

On top of her agenda? Talking to the community leaders about getting involved in early education -- especially encouraging reading outside of the classroom.

Ritz also spoke of changes she hopes to see to ISTEP scoring, and says schools rely too heavily on standardized testing.

Ritz recently brought a lawsuit against the State Board of Education. She did not talk to any reporters during today's stop.
