Indiana State Police the crowd was more well behaved over all, and caused fewer serious problems than in years past.
Another Scheid Diesel Extravaganza has come and gone, and official say things went a lot more smoothly in 2013 than in years past.

Throughout the weekend, Excise Police officers alone cited 254 people on 305 charges.

More than 100 of those citations were for underage drinking.

But Indiana State Police the crowd was more well behaved over all, and caused fewer serious problems than in years past.

"A lot tamer crowd, a lot more respectful crowd, a more respectful driving crowd on the roadways. It seemed like that message we've been getting out, the message that we've been trying to portray, come to Terre Haute enjoy this event and just do it in a safe manner, that was well done this year," said Sgt. Joe Watts, Indiana State Police.

Indiana State Police expect to release their total arrest numbers from the weekend by Tuesday.
