Alcohol was a factor in an accident on Interstate 70 this morning that injured a highway worker.
Indiana State Police say a pickup truck driven by 63-year-old Stephen Harrold, 63, of West Terre Haute, hit two construction barrels near the seven mile marker in Vigo county.
His vehicle entered the Closed for Construction lane and traveled 1,500 feet before hitting another pickup parked along the road.
Two employees of Wabash Valley Asphalt were in that pickup.
One sought medical treatment on his own; the other was treated and released from Regional Hospital.
Harrold was not hurt. He was taken to the Vigo County Jail on charges of causing injury to a highway worker and driving while intoxicated.
State troopers say his blood alcohol level was .54%. In Indiana, .08% is considered legally drunk.
