No Remonstrance Filed Against Vigo Pool Proposal

The cut off for a remonstrance against the proposal has come and gone, and no on has filed. Right now the district has three separate pools, that are all in need of repairs. This new plan would create one facility for all of the schools to share.
The Vigo County School Corporation is one step closer to building a new pool facility.

Officials say that they are pleased that a remonstrance was not filed, and for all of the communities support.

"It's good to see that we've had a strong support in place from the community at large. There are those who are against it, but not enough to stand up and say we don't want to know this community forward in many ways, one in swimming and two in economic development," said superintendent Danny Tanoos.

School leaders say they will now be looking at where to build the facility.

More discussion on that will come at the next school board meeting.
