The start of this weekend is very warm and muggy with mainly dry weather and some sunshine in the mix. This changes tomorrow as a strong cold front swings through the region bringing rain and a big temperature drop off. Today is unseasonably warm with highs in the mid 80s under partly cloudy sky. An isolated shower cannot be ruled out today/tonight but most of the Valley stays dry until tomorrow. Cloudy sky will take over tomorrow ahead of cold front with conditions still very warm and humid with highs in the lower 80s. Our best chances for rain do not arrive until the second half of the day with scattered showers increasing through the afternoon. The heavy, widespread showers/t'storms won't arrive until tomorrow evening and stick around overnight into Sunday. T'storms that develop later tomorrow-tomorrow evening could be strong and possibly severe with heavy rain and strong winds as main concerns. Rainfall in excess of an 1.00" will be possible for much of the area with rain ending later Sunday. Temperatures take a big plunge behind this system with only mid 60s for highs to start next week.
