After a very chilly and frosty start this morning, this afternoon turns slightly warmer than yesterday with a south breeze and highs reaching the low 50s. We'll keep a lot in the way of sunshine as high pressure of the Ohio Valley keeps the region dry and fairly quiet. Tomorrow is much warmer and mild with the warmest day of the extended forecast as highs top 60º and sunshine remains. Winds will be quite gusty tomorrow with gusts nearing 30 mph and sustained winds 15-20 mph. Once the warm front passes, the short-lived warmer forecast ends. The cold front of this system moves through late Saturday/Sunday and will knock temperatures back down to the low 50s to wrap up the weekend. Another stronger system moves in next week, bringing rain by the end of Monday and much colder temperatures as highs struggle to top 40º. We'll continue to watch Tuesday's forecast as flurries could mix with any rain.
