This morning marks the coldest start in about 8 months across the area with much of the Valley in the upper teens with widespread frost. Though it's a frigid start, this afternoon will be slightly warmer with highs around 40º with abundant sunshine. Tonight returns to some very cold conditions in the mid 20s. Though gradual, a warming trend is in store for the extended period with highs tomorrow approaching 50º under sunny sky. Breezy conditions will also be around with a southerly wind gusting into the 20s. Cloud cover will increase through the weekend ahead of a frontal system that will bring rain. Much warmer and even above average temperatures await this weekend with upper 50s/low 60s in the forecast.
