An unsettled weather pattern persists for the rest of this week's forecast as snow and eventually rain move through the region. Today the Valley will see some scattered, light snow mainly during the afternoon and evening. Only minor accumulation is expected of less than an inch. Tonight freezing drizzle may try to mix with the snow briefly but once again, this amount will be minimal. Even so, keep an eye out for slick spots when traveling. Temperatures remain on a rising trend with low 30s today and finally 40s tomorrow through the weekend. Another system crosses the region tomorrow, bringing rain chances with rain likely by tomorrow evening and diminishing Saturday morning. Rainfall amounts will approach an inch for much of the Valley. Though a few areas could experience localized flooding with the warming and periodically wet conditions, most will dodge any major flooding issues.
