Temperatures are finally on the rise starting today. Even though this morning is colder in the teens, this afternoon will be warmer as highs return to seasonable around 40º under sunny sky. Southerly winds will be gusty at times, approaching 20 mph. Tonight isn't as cold as lows drop into the lower 30s. Even warmer temperatures are ahead tomorrow with highs just below the 50º. An approaching frontal system will usher in clouds through the day Thursday, though dry conditions should remain until tomorrow night. The warmest day in the extended forecast occurs Friday with low 50s and rain showers. Rain will remain in the forecast through the weekend with the heaviest amounts later Saturday-Sunday. Rainfall totals of 2.00-3.00" are likely for the area, so the concern for localized flooding remains.
