Morning Weather: December 13, 2013

Snow on the Way
Our next snow event comes rather quickly as a winter storm is headed for the Valley.  A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect 7:00 P.M. EST tonight and goes through 6:00 P.M. EST as 2-6" of snow will fall across the area.  With this event, the heavier amounts will be north of I-70 with the lower amounts across our southern most counties.  Southern portions of the Valley may get some winter mix (rain/snow) late tonight-tomorrow morning so this would cut down on snow totals.  Most of the day today is dry with sunshine to start but cloudy conditions this afternoon.  Snow showers start moving in by early this evening and become widespread later tonight with some heavy snow showers late-tomorrow morning.  Showers continue through the day tomorrow before diminishing early tomorrow evening.  Dry, sunny weather returns to end the weekend Sunday.  Today and Saturday will be warmer in the lower 30s with colder temperatures Sunday in the low 20s.
