Mayor Clint Lamb Steps Into Wrestling Ring

New Wave Pro Wrestling headed to Sullivan for Saturday night's match - and Mayor Clint Lamb stepped into the ring. No fighting for the mayor though... he was a special referee for the championship fight. Talk about working hard for your town!

New Wave Pro Wrestling headed to Sullivan for Saturday night's match - and Mayor Clint Lamb stepped into the ring.

No fighting for the mayor though... he was a special referee for the championship fight.

And it's not just about fun and games - a portion of the proceeds from the event will go toward the Sullivan Central Park Fund.

"This is the fun part. When you can actually come up here yourself and become a part of the match and be one of the special guest referees and make sure that the march is called down the middle, fair and impartial. And to know that the proceeds are gonna go to something that's deep in your heart, it's a lot of fun. This is what it's all about," said Mayor Lamb.

Funds will help turn the site of the former Central Elementary School into a park and Community Center.

You can make your contribution at Sullivan City Hall, and more fundraisers are expected in the coming months.
