Marshall City Pool Still Open to Beat the Heat

The city pool says they will stay open through Labor Day. Opening every day at 4 p.m., the facility is helping you beat even after the work and school day have ended.
With school back in session most city pools have closed their gates for summer swimming, but not in Marshall, Illinois.

The city pool says they will stay open through Labor Day.

Opening every day at 4 p.m., the facility is helping you beat even after the work and school day have ended.

And officials say with these high temperatures, everyone could use  a dip in the pool.

"You give the kids something to do after school and he gives the parents somewhere to go after work and hang out with their kids for a little bit after they get their homework done," said Misty Wieland, pool manager.  "We're just now getting our summer weather in the pool temperature is about 80 to 82° right now, so it's perfect for almost all age groups."

The Marshall city pool is closed on Friday night, so everyone can go out and support the Lions football team.
