Man Sentenced for Child Exploitation

Emery Norton was sentenced to 11 years and three months in federal prison. During the search of his home and personal computers this March, police recovered thousands of elicit images and videos.
A Terre Haute man charged child exploitation learned his fate on Tuesday morning.

Emery Norton was sentenced to 11 years and three months in federal prison.

Our crews were on the scene when he was arrested back in March.

During the search of his home and personal computers, police recovered thousands of elicit images and videos.

Then this summer, the U.S. Attorney's office announced that Norton would be charged federally.

The case is part of the project safe childhood, a nationwide initiative to stop child exploitation.

We'll have more on this sentencing, and hear from officials about the case, tonight on WAWV Live at 5 and NBC 2 News at 6.
