Officers found a man inside the house with multiple gunshot wounds. They did not find a pulse and began chest compressions until the Terre Haute Fire Department arrived. Medics pronounced the man dead at the scene.

Witnesses told police the shooting suspect fled the area in a silver Jeep.

About an hour later, officers pulled over a vehicle matching that description and detained the female driver and male passenger.

Two others were also arrested in connection to the case: Willie Jenkins is charged with obstruction of justice and false reporting, and Janet Akers was taken into custody for assisting a criminal.

The victim's name is not being released, pending family notification, but police tell us he's a 48 year old male.
