The Light House Mission kicked off their thanksgiving celebration a day early

The Terre Haute organization held a thanksgiving meal Wednesday afternoon.

Residents could get eat for free at noon at the facility on Wabash Avenue.

The group prepared to serve around 600 people, and those who attend say it's a great time of fellowship, for all involved.

"I think it's a good thing, we celebrated together and we come in and enjoy yourself and relax a lot and stuff," said Jessica Cox of Terre Haute. "We are like family, we're sisters and we enjoy it."

The Light House Mission will serve two meals on thanksgiving, and will continue serving all weekend long for anyone in need.
