The man who fell short in his bid to be Indiana's governor in 2012 says he will not try for the job again.
In a statement posted on his campaign's Facebook page, John Gregg says he will not run for the state's top job again in 2016.
The Democrat and Sandborn native lost to Republican Mike Pence by less that three percentage points.
Gregg has been active since the defeat, attending Jefferson-Jackson dinners and labor meetings across the state while meeting with Democratic leaders.
Gregg says he will focus on his family, law practice and business opportunites.
He says that even though he is not running, he will stay involved and will continue to talk about the issues he brought up during his campaign.
