ISU Students Jam the Bus Again

ISU students spent the day "jamming the bus" once again.

It's the annual food donation for Catholic Charities.

Now in its eighth year, the campus collection has gathered 36,000 pounds of food.

This year, organizers hope that grand total tops the $50,000 pound mark.

Students say it takes a lot of work, but seeing the literal tons of food donated is worth it.

"We also want to raise awareness about hunger so even if people don't have food or money with them at the moment, they'll keep it in the back of their mind that it's important to give to jam the bus or all charities in general," said coordinator Carly McDonald.

The official results of the jam the bus drive should be released Thursday.
