A new law that took effect in Indiana on Monday, could help cut done on your number of doctors visits.

You can now get more than just as flu shot at many pharmacies.

Pharmacists are now able to administer more vaccinations than ever before, including shots for pneumonia, tetanus, diphtheria, HPV, and meningitis.

Area pharmacists say it's good way to help make sure that everyone can get the shots that are required of them, but will take some getting used to.

"The pharmacists that do that have to consider workspace, someplace to give the shots that's got privacy. You also have to consider workflow, how are they going to handle the information and how are they going to follow through with protocol, and how they're going to get the shot and dispose of needles," said Lynn Hostetler, pharmacist and owner of Lynn's Pharmacy in Brazil, Indiana.

Health leaders hope the new law will cut costs for those with no health insurance, or with a high deductible.
