Ill. Fights to Keep Private Auditor for Medicaid Rolls

The state of Illinois may fight to keep a private firm on the job regarding Medicaid.
Earlier this year the state of Illinois hired a private auditor to try to clear people off the Medicaid rolls who shouldn't be there.

Since that auditor started, the state has removed 125,000 people who shouldn't have been on the list.

But the Unions say state employees should be auditing the rolls, not a private firm. An arbitrator sided with the Unions, but the state could appeal that decision as early as Wednesday.
