IL State Police launch concealed carry website

Illinois State Police have launched a website ahead of the concealed carry application posting date with information about what's required to apply for a license.

People in Illinois will be able to apply for a concealed carry license in less than a month.

In anticipation of the application posting date, Illinois State Police have launched a website to expedite the process.

It'll have information about things like eligibility requirements, application fees and training requirements. State police also say it will tell you how to get a digital ID and electronic fingerprint before the Jan. 5 application kickoff.

Fingerprints aren't required for a concealed carry license, but background checks will be done quicker if you submit one.

Visit the Illinois State Police website to check out the new concealed carry page.
