I-70 Shut Down at 12 MM After Semi Hits ISP Patrol Car

Officials have shut down Interstate 70 at the 12 mile marker, after a crash involving two semi's, a car and an Indiana State Police Trooper. The westbound lanes will be shut down for some time.
Officials have shut down Interstate 70 at the 12 mile marker, after a crash involving two semi's, a car and an Indiana State Police Trooper.

It happened just after 9 p.m. in the westbound lane.

Details are few at this time, but here's what we do know:

The ISP trooper was helping a disabled motorist. One semi slowed down, and was rear-ended by another semi.

The collision forced the first semi into the occupied police car.. the trooper though was not hurt though.

One of the semi drivers was trapped, and Riley Fire and Rescue had to extricate him.

He was taken to the hospital with n on life-threatening injuries.

The westbound lanes will be shut down for some time.
