An annual event proved that libraries don't always have to be quiet.

Over 45 organizations -- and 100 kids - came out to the Vigo County Library on Saturday.

It's all for the third annual Family Fun Day.

Kids could enjoy games, free music lessons and even horse rides around town.

The event is aimed at helping promote literacy throughout the community, and bringing families together to learn.

"It's really exciting, and we are really happy that we can have all of the kids here on our campus," said Brittany Michaels of the Vigo County Public Library. "It's a really great way for the community and demonstrate their investment in you, and also is a great way for the organization to demonstrate their investment in the community and helping to promote literacy."
