Hundreds of Sullivan County residents enjoyed a free meal on this holiday.

Thursday marked the 16th anniversary of the Wally King Thanksgiving Day Dinner.

People filled Joe's Pizza and Italian Food on Section Street, and those that couldn't make it out could get a dinner delivered to them.

The Wally King dinner started in 1997, and back then, it fed 30 people. Now it's nearly 700!

Organizers say it's important to make sure everyone can  celebrate with a good meal, and to continue King's efforts to feed the hungry.

"Our goal is for everyone comes here to just feel blessed, and to just feel welcome, like they're part of our family. Because really none of us here our blood relatives, but this is my Thanksgiving family, every year we've been doing this together," said organizer Kristi Irwin.

The Wally King  meal is completely funded through donations.
