Hoosiers Sign Up For Coverage Through ACA Marketplace

Thousands of Hoosiers signed up for health insurance through the new healthcare marketplace in November.

Nearly 3,000 Hoosiers selected plans through the marketplace last month.
   
That's nearly four times the number that signed up in October.
   
Close to 35,000 applications from the state have been completed over the past two months.
   
Enrollment numbers across the country are expected to increase as issues with healthcare.gov are resolved.

"No software is going to be 100% bug free, that's impossible to guarantee. There may be a few glitches here and there, but the kind of problems that were there in October they've solved most of these issue," Sriam Mohan, PhD, a software engineering professor at Rose Hulman Institute of Technology said.

The next big test for the site comes in a few weeks.
   
To have health coverage by January 1 enrollees must select a plan by December 23.
   
Traffic to the site is expected to sky rocket as we near that deadline.
