Anne Elise Parks is a native of New Albany, Mississippi.  She is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Mississippi State University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Geoscience, majoring in Broadcast Meteorology.  She "bleeds Maroon and White" and loves all things Mississippi State.  One of her most cherished honors and memories of her time there was being named Mississippi State University's 2010 Homecoming Queen.

Anne Elise has always enjoyed the ever-changing weather of the southeast.  She especially enjoyed watching storms develop on her family farm during her childhood years.  As a member of her high school's journalism team, she quickly realized her love for television and story telling.  Fortunately for her, Mississippi State provided a combination of news and weather interests through its prestigious Broadcast Meteorology program.

During her time at Mississippi State, Anne Elise was selected by the meteorology department to be on the Great Plains Storm Chase team.  For sixteen days, the team of two professors and eight students traveled to nine different states, chasing storms and gaining invaluable in the field experience.  Anne Elise has also worked as the meteorology intern at ABC 33/40 in Birmingham, Alabama.  She is excited to join the weather team at WTWO and looks forward to meeting the community of Terre Haute.
