FEMA On Scene of Massive I-65 Pileup in Lafayette

Police say a semi slowed for a crash in front of him, and was rear-ended. Nine semis and four cars were involved in the initial crash. It's unknown at this time how many vehicles were involved in secondary crashes. Four people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Indiana State Police, along with local police, INDOT and FEMA, are still on the scene.
Conditions led to a dramatic pileup on I-65 in Lafayette, near the 174 mile marker.

One semi caught fire, burning its load of frozen pizza, and another's of florescent lights.

Four people were taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
   
Indiana State Police, along with local police, INDOT and FEMA, are still on the scene.

Southbound lanes are all open, but northbound lanes could be shut doe another five hours.
